Dawn Was My Friend in Second Grade

"A time-lapse video looking out towards Aldeburgh, across the River Alde
and the spectacular reed beds at Snape Maltings.
Music: 'Dawn Sea Interlude' from Benjamin Britten's 'Peter Grimes'.
"

My day starts in the middle - the darkest part
Then Dawn comes in - Aurora ~ a punctuation mark.
What a change it is ... the birds waken first
And sing their varied songs in salute and gratitude
While I head back to sleep to gain
A bit more strength and solitude.

I've been listening to September Songs: The Music Of Kurt Weill but now I'll have to switch over to Britten's 'Peter Grimes.' Thanks for the poke.

I remember sitting on a sea wall with you for a sunrise on the Jersey Shore many sunrises ago. Lovely...

Yes, I remember too! It was Monmouth Beach... pre-dawn anticipation to oily shimmer we watched into full blown day. Remember Key West dawn as well? Those basics cycles of life are quite memorable, especially with a like-minded friend... ;)
