And I'm sure it'll not soon be
Forgotten in that neck of the woods.
Or plains... or fields..We get to have these pinpointed
Moments in time when things
Just come together NOWOf course Woodstock was one of those
With a regularly re-arising theme of
Peace and music.
I was born just a couple/few
Years too late to attend...
But radiant waves continued
To flow out of that gathering
And so many others,Similarly-natured...
...At that time.
As long as humans exist on this plane
It will arise again and again...
An enzyme; a catalyst...Timing is all - and effort, true.
Maybe, just maybe we can
Tip the balance and come through it.... And it actually seems possible
To pull it off - to get everyone
Working together, being supportive
Compassionate, Accepting, Ready.Celebrate the high road in us.Here are a few clips you've seen,
Most likely... but in one place.
Varying quality... pick what you want.Richie Havens' amazing opening
Of the Festival... my personal favorite.
Jimi Hendrix's, "Voodoo Child."
Arlo Guthrie's, "Coming Into Los Angeles"
Jefferson Airplane's, "White Rabbit"
***N.S. and I were in charge of university
Entertainment that first year as I
Have mentioned earlier in these posts. We were able to pick all the movies
That we liked best to watch once
Or twice a day and thrice on Sundays. One of the more memorable times was
When we rolled the reels of film
Woodstock; watched it every single
Time from the front row center...Whatever it is going to be,
I'll try the newer generational
Take on a depiction...But how great to have the actual
Footage on tape to
Come together with.Sing out loud in your
Anywhere.... place.
***Here is the trailer for Ang Lee's
Summer film based on the
Experience. We'll see - I'll go at least once
And check it out.
No more front row for me though.
