It's so easy to live in the past
Repeat the same ways of thinking
Or fear or celebrate some unknown future.
I'm certain of that in my universe...

But I'm working on it.
Seems to become more and more important
As time goes on
To note the present
And see the sweetness inside
Each moment.

Something fundamentally human inside me
Tells me it might be so for others as well.

I think it's a popular notion right now,
But once that passes
I plan to keep practicing
Because that's what it takes for me.

Practice and practice
After so many times
Wanting to, drizzling out eventually
The work seems good to me.
Fitted well to hand.

Winter is gone.
Leonardo is gone
Listening to new sounds.
