It has been a long time
Since I used to sway my head
In my dark bedroom to the radio
Along with songs of Donovan.

He was there in the public eye
And apparently after on a private
Journey of his own.

Each private journey, evolution,
Development affects the whole,
I think... oh so gradually,
Bringing up the most
Important understandings.

I hope...

Though it seems that some few
Special understanders,
Genuises in their fields
Pop up here and there in time....
Rather than
A mass movement that lasts,

Perhaps enough energy will build
Through those beings over the millennium
To tip us into a different perspective

While there's time
In this form.

If not, other forms will arise,
I think....

The second on a reemergence in 2007
("This incredible performance DVD was recorded in front of a packed house of adoring fans at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California on January 21, 2007. On this, his first Music DVD, Donovan performed all his legendary hits and cult classics. Master filmmaker David Lynch introduced the concert held to benefit the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace; a program which funds in-school Transcendental Meditation programs for at-risk youth. Mike Love of the Beach Boys made a surprise appearance, and Donovan's daughter Astrella Celeste performed alongside her father. It was truly a magical night!
