The Lovely Bones ~ Best Not to Read If You Plan to See It

Watched the movie last night.
Definitely watchable for the thing that it was...
Especially the first half.
Golden lights and crumbling gazebos and beautiful butterflies
That have never been seen before.
And evil disguised as shy awkwardness

The pacing was okay except that seconds seemed like
Minutes gone by as I kept waiting -
Throughout the entire film

For it to somehow begin again
The way it was supposed to be.

Out of a dozen rich veins of mineral human experience
What was brought to light in the end was nothing so much as
Inexplicably abbreviated puffs of fine dust.

I'll never know how watchable the film actually was
Because I have something unforgiveable against me from the start

I read the book.
I can sense what's possible.

It's just that I could never have been the one to
Bring it to life.

But to take a shot at it, and then leave it in the
Inbetween.

That's just curiosity and crazy-making.

Good performances.
Everyone did their job but the writers.
And there are at least a couple of them
Who suprise me with the narrowness of the
Resulting 'storyline.'

Alas the story is left in a cornfield and lock of hair.
And the rich and creamy color palette.

Epilogue:  ;)
I'm so sorry to have said this, but I needed to.
Compare with a film like, say, "Pan's Labyrinth"
And you can get a sense of what I mean.
