The Tides on a 'Gray' Day

One perspective over many hours, but all within the same twenty-four hour period.
I love time lapse photography effects so much, I'll have to learn to do it 'someday.'
Cycles and rhythms, inhalation and exhalation.

And the darkest picture shows the culprit, so bright despite its half fullness.

"Happiness is not a matter of events; it depends upon the tides of the mind."
~Alice Meynell

"Here I am, I still go on, you know, like the tides."
~Angela Lansbury

"Life is a little like a message in a bottle, to be carried by the winds and the tides."
~Gene Tierney

"Most of us, swimming against the tides of trouble the world knows nothing about, need only a bit of parise or encouragement - and we will make the goal."
~Robert Collier

Quite a thing to see how much the world changes in only 24 hours, when it seems to change so little in my own little world. :)
Thanks for your comment, Joan. It's so hard to really see what goes on and how much alteration there is, even in one's own supposedly 'little' world. Consistently intermittent observation was key in this case. I guess one extreme would be to make a checklist: mood, hunger, energy level, activities, interactions, and so on - to note at the top of each hour. Otherwise our mind just connects the disparate dots, making it very hard to see the varying states of affairs. Have a wonderful day (i.e. 24-hour period)!
These are beautiful pics ...
Thank you, Liz. Looking out the back window is a constant reminder of many things. So glad you stopped by here!
