Listen to Your Heart: The Yeti Trance Song, Mod Fox, and Ice Flow

There are ten seconds of a commercial up front
Of each clip.
That's all. I find it worth it, but I honestly
Don't know whether a person can enjoy this as
Much without knowing and loving the characters
From the repertory series, "The Mighty Boosh,"
a BBC show currently Visible in the states on Cartoon Network's 'Adult Swim'

I'm glad it'll be posted up so that you can see
A few of my favorite sweet moments from the season 1 & ep1 from s2.
Not entirely altruistic, I must admit.

I'm awake before 4am this morning.
Comparing impressions of Mick Jagger.
Something is seriously off kilter and out of whack.
Having fun repeating silly timeworn phrases like those two.

And the ones used to describe Mr. Jagger over the years.
I like Vince Noir's best: "He's a monkey genius."
I wish the Brits could hear themselves speak.
They must be immune by now to its
Absolute adorableness.

Perhaps Postscript Girl will dig up the seconds of
Noir's and Jagger's stylings.
So you two can set your alarm for 3:50am some a.m.
(yes, I know it's a simulation, okay? Please
Keep writing and phoning in about it!)
and compare for yourself.

You never know with Postscript Girl.

The day I learned the word, 'anglophile,' was one
Of those times in life where I realized there are others
Out there like some part of myself.

Hopefully, you'll find some morsel of something
Nutritious in these  few clips of one of my favorite
New toys... a teevee show made just for me.  ;)

-First is from the beginning episode of season two.
-The next one is from a pipe tune I cannot
Now extract from my brain - an earworm as with
Any Night Gallery episode or other horror show.
-And thirdly, from the first season, episode four.

1997

You've heard this tale, roughly, many times I'm sure.
So much media.... and sadness.
This song is the one that fits today.

On the day I went out for lunch,
Unusual as a teacher with little time.

Came back to the classroom and heard the news.
I think it was the hardest afternoon I ever taught
Out of many.

"Concentration"
So vulnerable - practiced... what to say.

Squeezing It In

"Geometric Art Deco"

I didn't post today.
I suppose this halfway counts
I didn't want it to be the first day I didn't.
But just didn't have it in me.

I'm happy about my new discipline
And guard it with precious care
I want to keep it going
RIght out there.

Switched up the rhyme
By accident; didn't notice until afterward....
Like an almost-brilliant pun
That came as a gift rather than anything constructed by me

Bad reaction to food today
Good one to humor
It just kept kept coming like naturally flowing spring water
And I delighted in it as my body turned to jello
Shaking in its substandard scaffolding
And attack of invaders I welcomed in.
And those I did not.

Another day in the neighborhood that ends
With part contemplation, part groan

Differentiation
Gotta love the concept.

If you want to just sit back and relax body and eyes
Like I did,
You could watch however much of these 9:14 minutes you would like.

I'll see you tomorrow.
After holding body and soul together for a night.
With a little help, I think.

Just People Watching; Another Great Space to Work, Baby Birds, and a Ferry too.

I found this just a relaxing bout of people watching
With some droning accompaniment
It's nice to see people happy
Or peaceful and calm
Sorry about the finger in the elevator, I think it was.
Not my intent, but I liked the rest.

Matrix Joseph Monomyth Campbell

Now that my posterous blog is growing and I have the flu, I don't want to look back to see if I already mentioned wine and cheese with 12 folks, including Joseph Campbell at the start of a 3-day conference at my uni. I was invited as a senior Lit Major. Ha! A perk.

So, 28 years ago the revelation of his Monomyth structure of Story theory invigorated my mind, and then it was revealed that George Lucas had used it to structure the original Star Wars trilogy, but I never knew that it was also the basis of The Matrix.

Enjoy this clip.

He was a lovely, brilliant, inventive man - and dug on Jung... again. I'm really on a roll here, it would seem . I feel lucky.

Go where the myths have taken you, dear Joseph!
