What Is It About Vampires?

I often find myself enjoying stories about them,
'Dracula,' 'The Historian,' 'Buffy,' Angel,' Dark Shadows...'
So I thought I'd try to list the 17 things I think
Intrigue me, without stopping to consider.
A brainstorm of the undead.

1-They live forever
2-Often teeter on the edge of evil & redemption
3-Giving up one's blood as a form of sacrifice
4-Or cleansing, like with leeches to cure disease
5-Caught at a particular age,
6-And potentially having wisdom far beyond
7-Dangerous but gentle-personly
8-Difficult relationships with mortals understanding
9-Attraction to Life Left Behind
10-Attraction to Death
11-Special powers over others
12-Undying Love and 'victims'
13-Various stories of garlic, night, etc. as weakness
14-Their Initiation Story, often an act of mercy
15-Modern Only: The ethical struggle...
16-No access to the bright hereafter
17-Plenty of access to memory, history, regret?

I heard that the currently known as 'Edward' actor
Was grazed by a NYC taxi cab today.
Hope he's okay - and it took me until today to
Figure out where I knew him from:
Cedric Diggory in that other series...H.P.

I may've loved the Twilight series- who knows -
Had it been written by a different author or the same one
In a number of years from now.

Good story - repetitive writing for my taste, but I know
Plenty of people who love it, and that speaks volumes.
No harm meant.
Ever.

I mean - I'm only warming up and have nothing to say
She did come up with a sweet take on an age-old plot.
I wish her much success in the future as now.

How I Fell in Love with The Brian Jonestown Massacre

It was a bright and sunny evening - the golden hour - perfect timing for joyful music, accompanied by various lively birds. Bedtime coming for them. And then these tones that had the power to take me back to a time in experimental audiophile cultural history I barely missed, but recognized all the same. Lovely, meandering, mysterious accented touch of melody and space time. 1992 to 1963... zip zoom flash.

This is one of the only professionally done videos for BJM's "When Joker's Attack," and there's a funny 11th hour story that goes with it, including such hijinks as losing the barely budgeted tape by driving away with it on top of the car, looking for an address to try to make it right, finding the wrong place with this distinctive woman hanging out alonem though she didn't live there, and agreeing to make a new quickly crafted video based on her.

Below that one is one of "The Dandy Warhol's" more psych-rock-synth-countrified songs from the recent album since I love both bands, and not because they're both linked in the documentary, "Dig!" From their Odditorium: "THE LEGEND OF THE LAST OF THE OUTLAW TRUCKERS AKA THE BALLAD OF SHERIFF SHORTY from the Beat The World release ...Earth To The Dandy Warhols dir. These are my first embeds. Enjoy! If it's not you're style... or even should it be so, in either case... thanks for stopping by!
